4.12.1    The laboratory is identifying potential source of nonconformities, and where needed making improvements either in technical or management system. If preventive action is needed, action plan is developed, implemented and monitored to reduce the likelihood of occurrences of such nonconformities and to take advantage of the opportunities for improvement.

4.12.2    The procedure Quality Process for preventive action is followed for undertaking actions and application of control to make it effective.
