Objective:
The objective of this procedure is to provide written procedure for
the Operation of Microscope.

Scope:
This Sop covers Operating procedure of Microscope
3.0
Responsibility:
Microbiologist: Responsible for operation of instrument as per
procedure and maintain the record.
QA Officer/QAM: Review the records and governing the document.
4.0
Procedure:
4.1 Positions the specimen area on
the slide over the center of stage of aperture use the stage control knob to
move specimen slide to the desire position.
4.2 Looking through the Binocular
head, move the stage by adjusting course and fine focus knob until an image
appears clearly.
4.3 Use the fine focus knob for
sharp and clear view of the image.
4.4 Always do the focusing with
lowest power objective lens and then to increase magnification by rotating the
nosepiece.
4.5 When using objective of a
higher numerical set the condenser by up and down movement.
4.6 Use enough light intensity from
low and high as you go from low magnification to high magnification for best
results.
4.7 View the specimen with each
objective lens and view the result with all or desired magnification lens.
5.0
Cleaning:
Use lance paper of standard quality to clean the objective lens. And
dry the oil immersion lens after using the oily specimen.
6.0
Routine maintenance:
Clean the instrument with tissue paper.
