4.4.1
The policy of the laboratory
for carrying out review of request for tests / calibration, for finalizing a
tender for submission or making a contract as per procedure is to ensure.
a)
Requirements including test /
calibration methods to be used are adequately defined, documented and understood.
The laboratory has capability and resources to meet the requirements;
b)
Selection of appropriate test /
calibration method capable of meeting the customer’s requirements. Any
difference between the request or tender and the contract is resolved before
the work commences. It is ensured that each contract is acceptable to both
laboratory and customer.
4.4.2
Records of review, including
any significant change, are maintained. Records are maintained of any pertinent
discussion with customer relating to requirements or the results of the work
during the period of execution of contract. Records of review for routine test
/ calibration, completing contract are kept in the request / contract.
4.4.3
The laboratory is not sub contracting
testing of samples to any outside laboratory.
4.4.4
The customer is informed as per
SOP for any deviation.
4.4.5
If a contract requires to be
amended after the work started, the laboratory is initiating contract review
process and change(s), if any, are informed to the customer and to the affected
personnel. Any amendments carried out are informed to the customer as per SOP
