5.10.1
The laboratory reports the
results of series of tests carried out accurately, clearly, objectively and
without ambiguity. The laboratory is following specific instruction, if any,
given in test method. The laboratory does not issue calibration certificate for
in-house calibration but keeps record.
The laboratory is using well-designed format to report each type of
tests / calibration carried out and need of the customer and necessary for the
interpretation of the results and all information required by the method used.
The information is as given in clause 5.10.2 and 5.10.3 or 5.10.4 of ISO/IEC
17025: 2008. In case of a written agreement with customer, the calibration
result is reported in a simplified way. Information not reported to the
customer shall be readily available in the record of laboratory.
5.10.2
Test reports and calibration certificate
Each test report and calibration certificate is documented to
include the information contained in sub-clauses (a) to (k) of ISO/IEC 17025:
2008.
5.10.3
Test reports
5.10.3.1 In
addition to the requirements given in 5.10.2, test reports where necessary may
include the following:
a)
Deviation from, addition to or
exclusion from test method and information on environmental condition;
b)
Where relevant, a statement of
compliance / non-compliance with specification or requirements;
c)
When required by the customer,
a statement on estimated uncertainty or when uncertainty affects compliance;
d)
Where appropriate and needed,
opinions and interpretation;
e)
Additional information, which
may be required by specific methods or customers or group of customers.
5.10.3.2
As the laboratory is not
carrying out sampling, this clause is not applicable.
5.10.4
Calibration certificate
5.10.4.1
In addition to the requirements
listed in 5.10.2 calibration certificate includes the following for
interpretation of calibration results :
a)
The environmental condition
which has a significant effect on result, under which the calibration is made;
b)
Uncertainty of measurement and
/ or a statement of compliance with an identified metrological specification or
clauses there of;
c)
Evidence that the measurements
are traceable.
5.10.4.2
The calibration certificate
relates only to quantities and results of functional tests. The statement of
compliance with a specification is not made in the certificate.
5.10.4.3 Results of adjusted or repaired instruments for calibration before
and after adjustment or repair, if available are reported to the customer.
5.10.4.4 The
calibration certificate or calibration label does not contain any
recommendation on the calibration interval except where this has been agreed
with the customer.
5.10.5
Opinions and interpretation
Where relevant, a statement of compliance / non-compliance with
specification or requirements.
5.10.6
Testing and calibration results obtained from sub-contractor.
5.10.6.1
Tests carried out by sub-contractor
The laboratory does not send test / calibration items to
sub-contractor.
5.10.7
Electronic transmission of result
When laboratory transmits test results by telephone, fax this is
followed by post for confirmation. Results on phone will be given after
confirming the identity of the customer by asking receipt number.
5.10.8
Format of reports
The laboratory uses well designed format department to report each
type of tests / calibration carried out. The format is to minimize misuse or
misunderstanding to the extent possible.
5.10.9
Amendments to test reports
When any amendment for editorial / typing mistake is carried out, it
is in the form of a letter mentioning the test report / calibration
certification. When amendments are for change of tests / calibration results, a
fresh report is issued with a mention of previous test report. Such amendments
are ensured to meet the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025: 2008.
