4.14.1    The laboratory is committed to carry out internal audit as per procedure Quality Process at least once in a year as per predetermined schedule of its activities to verify that its operations continue to comply with the requirements of documented management system and procedures and as per ISO/IEC 17025: 2008. The internal audit programme addresses all elements of management system including testing and calibration activities. QAM is responsible to plan and organize audit as per schedule and as requested by management. Audit is carried out by qualified and trained personnel independent of activities to be audited. If required, outsider with adequate qualification, training and experience is engaged for carrying out audit.

4.14.2    If it is observed from the audit findings that cast doubt on the effectiveness of operations or on the correctness of test result, QAM shall take immediate corrective action and the customer shall be informed in writing if investigation points out that test results might have been affected.

4.14.3    Record shall maintained for the area audited, audit findings and corrective actions taken.

4.14.4    Follow up audit shall be carried out to verify and record the implementation and effectiveness of corrective action taken.
