5.3.1
The laboratory facilities for
testing and calibration have been arranged for not only energy sources,
lighting and environmental condition but also for facilities for correct
performance of tests and / or calibration.
The laboratory is approved by OHSAS 18001:2007, following the OHSAS
Manual for Occupational Health & Safety of all personnels working with organisation.
The laboratory ensures that the environmental conditions do not
invalidate the test result or adversely affect any measurement. The laboratory
does neither carry out sampling nor carrying out testing outside its permanent
facility. The technical requirements for environments are as per the respective
test method.
5.3.2
The laboratory is maintaining,
controlling and recording environmental conditions like temperature, humidity,
power supply, vibration as required by relevant specification, test /
calibration method where they will influence the quality of results. Analysis
is stopped when environmental condition is not as per requirements. Necessary
fire extinguishers are provided and first-aid boxes are provided. Facemask and
hand gloves are used whenever required. For safety measures, procedure Quality
Process is followed.
5.3.3
The laboratory is ensuring
effective separation between areas where incompatible activities are being
performed to avoid contamination in test result.
5.3.4
The laboratory is controlling
access to and use of areas affecting quality of tests and calibration. The
laboratory is controlling to the extent required in particular circumstances.

Adequate housekeeping is
maintained as per procedure Quality Process
