What is mean by “Clean-in-Place” and “Clean-out-Place”?


Clean-in-Place: 

The cleaning of large pieces of equipment may be performed in the equipment permanent location. Generally, in a configuration very similar to that in which it is utilized for production. The equipment those cannot be taken in washing area is cleaned at their location. This procedure is widely known as Clean-in-Place (CIP).

 Clean-out-Place: 

The smaller items those can be transported to a designated cleaning or washing area where the cleaning procedures are performed. This practice is known as clean-out -place (COP).
