IODINE SOLUTION 0.1 M

METHOD OF PREPARATION: 

Dissolve 40 gms of Potassium iodide in the minimum amount of water, add 26 gms of Iodine, allow to dissolve and add sufficient water to produce 1000 ml.

[Store this solution at room temperature in Borosil amber glass bottles with well-fitted suitable stopper.]
